Gary Rhoads
Gary K. Rhoads received his B. S. degree in Zoology with minor emphasis in Chemistry and M.B.A. from Idaho State University, and holds a PhD in Marketing from Texas Tech University. Rhoads is currently the Stephen Mack Covey Professor of Marketing/Entrepreneurship at Brigham Young University. As an active researcher in entrepreneurial marketing strategy, his work focuses on identifying marketing tactics that lead to start-up success. He presently works with start-up companies on crafting marketing strategies that accelerate company growth. In marketing management, his interests include developing smart technology for effectively managing customer and employee burnout, retention, and engagement. He has published articles in the Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Marketing, Journal of Market Research Society, Journal of Personal Selling and Sales Management, Journal of Retailing, Behavioral Research in Accounting, Marketing Science Institute, and various AMA Proceedings.
Jeff Rust
Jeff Rust is a living example of the adage, "it's not what you know but who you know". As one of the principle builders of the Corporate Alliance relationship system, he has become one of the most connected individuals in Utah. In addition to being a co-founder and CEO of Corporate Alliance, he serves or has served on numerous boards: United Way of Utah County, Little Heroes Foundation, BYU Cougar Club, Utah Valley Business Q editorial board, Utah Valley Chamber of Commerce and Junior Achievement of Utah. He has also served in volunteer positions, namely chair of the Utah Valley Parade of Homes and Director of First Night Provo. John E. Richards is an associate professor at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, teaching courses in entrepreneurship, e-business, and management consulting in the Marriott School of Management and the School of Technology. At BYU he also serves as Associate Director over Technology Entrepreneurship of the Rollins Center for Entrepreneurship & Technology and Associate Managing Director the Center for Economic Self-Reliance. John has been an active founder, investor, mentor, coach, consultant, board member, and participant in dozens of entrepreneurial ventures and business enterprises. He was president of a publishing company in Seattle, Washington for several years and later vice president of a company that went public and achieved a multi-billion-dollar market capitalization.
