The Chamber Welcomes Cathy White from Aflac

The Chamber Welcomes Aflac Insurance Agent Cathy White

Cathy White became an insurance agent with Aflac in July of 2011 when she moved to Utah. Having worked in health care for over 20 years, she was looking for a way to help people that did not require work in hospitals.

Aflac which is an acronym for American Family Life Assurance Company of Columbus (Georgia) is a different kind of supplemental insurance company. Aflac wants to assure the well being of its clients in times of significant illness or injury by paying the client money based on the severity of the illness or accident which can be used to pay necessary household expenses such as mortgage/rent or utilities. The policies cover a wide range of health issues including accident, cancer, critical care (heart attack and stroke), hospital-personal sickness, dental and optical. Whole life and term life insurance policies also are available.

What makes Cathy’s business different is she tailors her customer service to the unique

needs of her clients. If the client’s business demands are too unpredictable to schedule a set meeting time, Cathy will adapt the Aflac information presentation to the time available even if it means an instant presentation. Unlike many in the insurance industry who only work weekday business hours, if the client requires evening or weekend appointments, those requirements are met. Another important asset is Cathy’s extensive knowledge of health care which can significantly help clients with their questions about coverage for what can be complicated cancer conditions, surgeries or medical procedures.

Though Cathy White’s home base is in Orem, her Aflac business covers the state of Utah.

She can be reached through phone (801-960-6034) or email (cathy_white@us.aflac.com).
