All the musical performances for Taste of the Valley have been made possible by MissKrisMusic.

Kristine Stewart Corbett, known as 'MissKris', is best known for her work with MTV and The Miss American Program. She's a professional in dance (all forms), opera performance, clarinet, piano and composition. Studying in Los Angeles, she grew up as a performer in the L.A. Junior Philharmonic and doing studio work in Burbank and Hollywood where she landed a job as a choreographer and worked for MTV/Viacom. Kristine moved to Utah to be closer to family and continued to study and teach music and dance at BYU, UVU and nearby dance studios. She gave the Miss American program a shot and won state-level awards and trained other competitors, helping them compete at state level and beyond. Now as a consultant for performers in music, dance and pageants, she works from home as an expectant mother and loves her job helping rising stars reach their dreams and discover their potential. She can be found at www.MissKrisMusic.com where you may contact and read more about her, including hearing some of her work.

Taste of the Valley Performer: Constance Jensen

Constance Jensen

Most recently heard singing jazz at The Shops at Riverwoods, Connie Jensen is comfortable performing in a variety of venues. A regular performer at Riverwoods, she is equally at home singing jazz, musical theatre and classical music and has been a featured soloist in concerts in Salt Lake, Park City, and Utah County, as well as in Nevada and California. Connie graduated in May 2011 with a Master's degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Utah and currently teaches voice at Utah Valley University, where she has also been a featured soloist with the Jazz Ensemble, Orchestra and Wind Symphony.

Fortunate to be singing and teaching, Connie loves doing both and frequently features her students in her concerts at UVU and in the community, where they have opportunities to perform with a jazz combo as well as with versatile accompanist, Aaron Foster.

Working together with some of the best jazz musicians in the area, Connie is putting the finishing touches on her vocal jazz album, due out in 2011. With fresh arrangements by Rich Dixon, the album features new takes on favorite jazz tunes.
