The Utah Valley Chamber Welcomes the Wendy’s in Orem

 

Quality is still their recipe, but the Orem Wendy’s restaurant has received a major remodel. Utah is one of six states to showcase four new Wendy’s designs, and the remodeled Orem restaurant will lead the line-up of grand openings with a ribbon-cutting at the 215 West Center Street location on Monday, July 16 at 11 am.

The Orem restaurant’s new “urban” design invites customers to linger in a hip hang-out or breeze through for a quick cheeseburger. There is an expanded seating area offering a free Wi-Fi bar, lounge seating and private booths. These modern conveniences and amenities make Wendy’s Orem much more than just a quick serve restaurant.

The Orem restaurant’s architecture could be described as “contemporary meets industrial,” comprised of concrete-like tile floors, brick work with formed steel slats and a fireplace covered with blackened steel. Historic farm elements are reinterpreted by incorporating a bold red silo and water tower on the outside and ceramic tile reminiscent of barn wood. The free Wi-Fi bar, flat panel TV and comfortable lounge seating all make the Orem restaurant a natural place for conducting business, or enjoying a pleasurable dining experience with friends, family or colleagues. Traditional art still adorn the walls, enhancing the Wendy’s tradition throughout the interior.

The Wendy’s grand re-opening event will be co-hosted by Special Olympics Utah and open to the public. It will take place at the Orem restaurant on Monday, August 6 from 5 to 8 p.m.  Attendees will be able to sample Wendy’s new bakery items, win prizes and participate in fun family night activities including bocce ball alongside Special Olympic athletes.

In addition to actively participating in the event, 20 percent of the sales earned during the grand re-opening will be donated to Special Olympics Utah.  Watch for other upcoming community events that will be hosted by Orem Wendy’s in an effort to give back to the local community.
