The 99-room Courtyard by
Marriott located at
The open, bright and
contemporary new Courtyard hotel lobby welcomes guests with vivid contrasting
colors, including blue, green, orange and red. The traditional front desk is
replaced with separate welcome pedestals to create more personal and private
interactions when guests check in. This
will allow staff to move about to show
guests the lobby features and provide assistance. Flexible seating options range from a communal
table in the middle of the action, to more private media booths with
high-definition televisions, to a more intimate, semi-enclosed lounge area.
“The nature of our guest
has changed and this renovation / reinvention will meet the demands of our ever
changing guest,” said Fred Parker, General Manager, Courtyard Provo. “It will provide an amazing space where
working on their computer becomes fun and engaging. It allows so much more interaction with other
guests and associates than ever before and really allows the guest to determine
how they want to use the space. It also will be a great gathering spot for
locals who want to enjoy Starbucks while having an impromptu meeting or grab a
quick beverage and sandwich while watching a game. We have always considered ourselves to be our
guest’s home away from home, and this new design makes it easy to be that.”
Every guest room and all three
meeting rooms have also been renovated to offer a new exciting look and more
functional design. Each room offers a
larger work desk, mini refrigerator, and renovated bathrooms. The Courtyard’s 2,800 sq feet of meeting
space is also be redesigned and offers new high tech audio-visual equipment.
